Join us as a Wildflower Volunteer at Cookworthy Forest Centre to help with collecting wildflower seeds, propagating and planting.

What the task involves:

You'll be helping with hand-harvesting and collecting wildflower seeds, propagating and planting, managing a polytunnel, and establishing plug plants at receptor sites. Volunteers may also support other practical tasks connected to brush-harvesting, seed processing, and seed storage.

Skills and abilities:

  • An interest, knowledge and experience of wildflower plants would be highly advantageous, but not critical
  • Be able to work and move in steep and wet areas to collect seed or establish plants
  • Access to your own transport is required for this role
