We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to assist the Gardening Team at Cricklepit Mill Wildlife Garden. Since 2012, the Cricklepit Garden Group volunteers have been a key part of our vision, helping everyone access and enjoy nature. This is your chance to get involved!

WeeklyIn this role, you’ll assist the team with a variety of tasks around the Wildlife Garden and help engage with visitors. Some knowledge of practical horticulture would be helpful, but just as important is a passion for wildlife gardening and a willingness to learn.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a sociable team of volunteers, learning new skills and increasing your wildlife and gardening knowledge. You will have a vital role in maintaining Cricklepit Mill Garden, watching it flourish throughout the year.
What you will be doing
- Undertake maintenance of existing features within Cricklepit Mill Wildlife Garden, including weeding, pruning, and watering
- Undertake ground preparation or construction work connected with the development of any new projects within Cricklepit Mill Wildlife Garden
- Ensure safe working practices are adhered to when undertaking practical work within the Wildlife Garden, report any problems to the Head Gardener or the Assistant Head Gardener if the Head Gardener is absent
- Engage with visitors to the garden, if able answer any questions relating to the garden, or if unable direct them to the Head Gardener and/or the Assistant Head Gardener
