About the event

Rupert Kirkwood has been enthralled with natural history for over 60 years and a kayaker for over 50. Through his collection of wonderful photographs and video clips he will bring us up to date with his travels in his kayak around the South West Coast and further afield.

Rupert worked as a farm vet in West Devon and now retired combines his lifelong interests by spending as much time as possible observing the natural world from his kayak. He has clocked up over 35,000 kayaking miles over the last twenty years and has paddled every inch of the coast of SW England including out to every island, up every creek and into every sea cave as well as exploring further afield.

The talk includes the opportunity for questions and discussion. There is a break for refreshments.

Doors open at 7pm for the talk to start at 7.30. The talk usually finishes by 9.30.

Help is appreciated for putting out chairs and tables and putting them away again.
