About the event

Join Devon Wildlife Trust’s Wilder Communities Officer, Dr Cathy Horsley, for a friendly and informal workshop exploring how to create and manage wildflower meadows, and identify common meadow plants. Find out more about how you can get involved with our Big Autumn Sow free seed give-away for community spaces in North Devon.

The workshop begins with a brief presentation and discussion forum, followed by a guided walk through the grounds at Quince Honey Farm to identify flowers and grasses. Tea and coffee is provided.

About the speaker:

Dr Cathy Horsley, Wilder Communities Officer. Cathy is an experienced ecologist and has worked with numerous landowners and organisations to create and manage meadows across the South West.

What to bring

You may wish to bring a notebook and pen.

Hand lenses and identification guides are available to borrow, but you may wish to bring your own if you have them.

Please wear clothing suitable for the British summer (waterproofs, sun hat and suncream, long sleeves and long trousers are recommended as there may be ticks present in the long grass).
