About the event

Join the Wilder Communities Team for an informative and practical webinar all about tackling Himalayan balsam, one of the UK's most widespread invasive plant species. This session is designed for community groups and individuals who want to take action for nature where they live.

We'll explore how to identify Himalayan balsam, understand its impact on local ecosystems - particularly rivers and wildlife - and learn why managing it is so impactful. You'll also gain practical guidance on effective and responsible ways to remove it.

Finally, we'll also hear from a local community group, Tale Valley Trust, who have been working together to tackle Himalayan balsam in their area. They'll share their experiences, challenges and successes, offering inspiration and real-life insights into what community-led action can achieve.

Whether you're just getting started or already involved in local nature projects, this webinar will give you the knowledge, confidence and motivation to take action and protect your local wildlife.

There will also be a Q&A at the end.
