Location:
Bovey Tracey Methodist Church Hall, Le Molay - Littray Way,

This talk will explore the amazing world of ants and focus on a Devon speciality the Narrow-headed Ant. In England it is now confined to the Devon Wildlife Trusts’ Chudleigh Knighton Heath reserve and has been the subject of extensive studies for the last 30 years. The talk will reveal what has been learnt so far from nest quests, early morning visits to catch flying ants and attempts to translocate whole nests to other sites in the Bovey Basin.
