About the event

At this Free Tree Hub we're offering free trees (whips) for planting in private gardens or on any land where you have permission. These are given away at local distribution hubs during the winter months, where you can collect between one and five free cell-grown trees, along with planting guides and tree protection.

We'll have a selection of native broadleaved tree species grown at our two community tree nurseries. All trees are Devon-grown, collected from seed and nurtured in Devon, including species such as oak, rowan, and crab apple. They are cell-grown and come with their roots in compost, so you can choose to plant them straight away or pot them up until you are ready to plant.

All trees will come with bamboo stakes and spiral tree guards to protect them from deer and rabbits.

This Tree Hub will run from 10am to 1pm at Outside, with 200–400 trees available to give away.

No need to book, but please email Michael in advance if you'd like any more than 5 trees: mrogers@devonwildlifetrust.org
