About the event

Join bat expert Sarah Butcher for this DWT event at Exeter Quay. You might be surprised to find that several bat species enjoy the environs of the city's quay area - join us to find out how may we encounter during this walk and talk event.

We will meet near Devon Wildlife Trust's HQ at Cricklepit Mill as dusk approaches. Sarah will introduce us to the world of bats and show us how to use the bat detectors. We will then be ready to detect the bats as they start to emerge from their roosts at dusk, and begin to forage. Although fast, we are also likely to see them whizzing past.

This is an event hosted by Saving Devon's Treescapes, a partnership project led by Devon Wildlife Trust on behalf of the Devon Ash Dieback Resilience Forum, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, One Tree Planted and other funders.

Tickets are available to book from 7th August.
