About the event

A guided walk led by Debbie Frazer to look at a local woodland with its spring flowers, mosses and lichens. We start with a walk along the edge of Griggs field with its variety of trees and then follow the public footpath between the stream and woodland. There should be plenty of bird song to listen to as well.

Mobility

The path is level but would be difficult for wheelchair access and very uneven in places. Griggs field is mostly flat with a good made up pathway for people to use. The public footpath in the wood is flat too but uneven in places and can get muddy if there has been a lot of rain. The walk will be slow as we stop to look at things.

Wheelchair access

No

What to bring

Sensible clothes for outdoors and comfortable walking shoes or welly boots. The footpath can be muddy in places
