About the event

Inside Out is a unique project from The Nature Doodles Collective, designed to cultivate community connection through nature and creativity. The workshop begins with a gentle Nature Bimble - a relaxed walk in a green space near the library.

Looking at the world through the eyes of a Pine Marten, pausing to notice details, share memories, and collect small natural items. This experience sparks conversation about local wildlife, changing landscapes, and the return of species like Pine Martens and wildflowers.

Back indoors, we transform these reflections into art. Using manual typewriters, hand-cranked sewing machines and hand stitching, we invite you to add words and collected items to a fabric. The result is a tactile record of shared stories and observations, blending craft creativity with environmental awareness.

This is an accessible, inclusive activity that encourages curiosity, playfulness, and a deeper relationship with the natural world, and the pine marten project funded by Devon Wildlife Trust.

This event is also running in the afternoon at 2pm, find out more.

*Numbers are limited due to equipment sharing, so book on early and please DO let us know if you are unable to attend so we can allocate your space to another.

The Two Moors Pine Marten project is made possible with support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to the #NationalLottery players, this project aims to restore healthy populations of pine martens to the South West of England.
