John Skinner will be giving us a presentation on the fascinating world of Lichens and how important they are for the environment.

About the event

John Skinner will be sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for the world of Lichens and their role in the environment .The talk will cover a range of information about Lichens with photographs and a chance for questions and answers at the end of the session. 

John  has a wealth of experience studying and recording lichens in a variety of habitats. He is a member of the British Lichen Society  and has the Ursula Duncan award for outstanding service to the Society. He has regularly given talks and run courses to share his knowledge

The talk includes the opportunity for questions and discussion. There is a break for refreshments. Doors open at 7pm.

We ask for an entry donation of £3 to cover costs of the event with any surplus being used for North Devon based conservation activities.

Parking information

Outside the Parish Hall, otherwise in the Beechfield Road Car Park or Village Car park in Beards Road. The Village car park is about 10 minutes walk away including an uphill stretch. The Beechfield Car park is closer, about five minutes walk.
