About the event
Mike Moser is an ecologist and passionate conservationist. He obtained his PhD in the Camargue in the south of France and has supported landscape-scale conservation initiatives from Iran to the Maldives and China to Mongolia – as well as in north Devon. Until recently he was a trustee and the Vice-Chair of DWT. He has also served on the boards of RSPB, English Nature and the (Swiss) MAVA Foundation and chaired the North Devon UNESCO Biosphere partnership for many years. He lives near Chulmleigh in north Devon where he manages a 70 acre farm for wildlife and in his spare time coordinates the Biosphere Nature Recovery Plan.
His talk will describe the work being undertaken by numerous partners, community groups and individuals for implementation of the North Devon Biosphere’s Nature Recovery Plan (2021-2030). He will cover both the highlights and lowlights so far and outline the key challenges and plans for the coming 5 years.
The talk includes the opportunity for questions and discussion. There is a break for refreshments. Doors open at 7pm. No booking needed.
We ask for an entry donation of £3 to cover costs of the event with any surplus being used for North Devon based conservation activities.
