About the event

John Walters is life long naturalist who explores the natural world through field sketching , photography and video. He works as an ecologist, artist and public speaker and is based in Buckfastleigh. He has published several books and guides including The Wildlife of Dartmoor and has appeared in many television and radio programmes. The talk “ Recent Wildlife Highlights” includes a wide range of West Country wildlife as well as some from further afield including : giant Blue-fin Tuna , Ring Ouzels , Long-tailed tits and the Sundew Plume Moth as well as natural phenomenon such as Hair Ice. 

The talk includes the opportunity for questions and discussion. There is a break for refreshments. 

We ask for an entry donation of £3 to cover costs of the event with any surplus being used for North Devon based conservation activities.

Parking information

Outside the Parish Hall , otherwise in the Beechfield Road Car Park or Village Car park in Beards Road. The Village car park is about 10 minutes walk away including an uphill stretch. The Beechfield Car park is closer, about five minutes walk.
