Drawing colour from the Woods (Yarner Wood)
About the event
Join artist, Ibby Lanfear for a unique creative experience on Dartmoor.
Delve deep in to woods at Yarner, to forage for found material that can be used to create natural inks. The day will involve a gentle walk in the morning, gathering and learning more about the diversity of woodland species.
There will be some time to try out your newly created inks towards the end of the session and Ibby will teach us how to modify the colours to create a woodland pallet.
The emphasis is on exploration and experimentation, and aimed at adults but children can occompany.
The walk is gentle but the terrain is woodland path and might involve some steps and narrow paths, so please bare that in mind if you have any mobility limitations.
Really looking forward to this one and would love to be a participant?! Numbers are limited due to equipment sharing, so book on early and please do let us know if you are unable to attend so we can allocate your space to another.
This project is made possible with support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to the #NationalLottery players, this project aims to restore healthy populations of pine martens to the South West of England.
