About the event

Join bat expert Sarah Butcher for this DWT event alongside the River Tavy in Tavistock, Devon where we hope to discover several different species of bat during this walk and talk event.

We will meet in front of The Wharf coffee shop at 21:00 for an introduction to bats from Sarah and to learn how to use the bat detectors. We will then walk closer to the river and/or into the park as dusk approaches and see what bats we can identify via their echolocation calls. Although fast, we are also likely to see them whizzing past.
