About the event

Chudleigh Knighton Heath is a heathland mosaic of gorse, heather and grassland, a landscape which once stretched for miles across the Bovey Basin to Bovey Tracey. The nature reserve acts as a vital heathland home to the Narrow-headed ant (Formica exsecta).  Always rare it now dependant on this single site and without this targeted action the ant is at high risk of being lost altogether.
