We believe every childhood should be wild
Devon Wildlife Trust has been helping children to explore and experience the natural world for more than 50 years. Here are four simple ways to help your child go wild...
1) See our seasonal things to do
Winter, spring, summer or autumn, sunshine or rain we believe that kids should be wild. So we’ve put together a stack of simple-to-do seasonal outdoor activity ideas for you to try.
2) Come along to a wild event
Let your kids go wild at one of the 100s of outdoor events we and our volunteers run each year. Look out for rockpool rambles, craft days, bug hunting and more. Expect dirty hands, muddy boots and lots of smiles.
4) Rainy days
If getting your kids outdoors is a struggle then introduce them to the wonders of nature with our selection of fun wildlife games. These feature a colourful cast of characters including hedgehogs, swifts, moles and starfish. Ideal for rainy days!
Making the classroom wild
We work in schools across the county teaching young people about the beauty, fun and importance of wildlife and wild places.
