JoinHave fun and learn about wildlife when you visit Devon Wildlife Trust’s nature reserves. These special places are havens for wildlife. Also on this page you can download issues of Grounded - the Wildlife Havens team newsletter.

The Wildlife Havens team look after 40 nature reserves around the county. Many of these are designated Sites of Special Scientific Interest because of their high nature conservation value. The various reserves cover a wide range of habitats and have a broad number of species for you to watch and enjoy.

Grounded Newsletter

Grounded is the technical bulletin of the Wildlife Havens team. The team comprises three sections and all are involved with front line conservation. In addition to reserve management we have a dedicated land management advisor working in South Hams as well as delivering advice through other projects. Devon Biodiversity Records Centre is hosted by DWT and is the central repository for recording Devon’s wildlife, both terrestrial and marine.

The bulletin focuses on the technical aspects of all of our conservation work. It includes detailed conservation management practices and techniques, technical land management advisory service issues, latest sightings and other data recording subjects.
