About the event

A walk through Halsdon Nature Reserve led by Keith Shawe PhD.  Booking essential.

We were very sorry to hear that Roger Groos has died and Keith Shawe Ph.D. will now be leading the walk.

Keith originally trained as a botanist and has a Ph.D. on the coevolution of parasitic plants and their hosts. For the last 30 years he has worked in 23 countries around the world on a very wide range of international development issues including sustainable forestry, biodiversity conservation, wild foods and medicinal plants. This has involved work on documenting the use of medicinal plants in various countries including Afghanistan, and working on medicinal plant legal and policy development. Now that he is based in the UK again, he is studying on a six year program to become a medical herbalist whilst still doing consulting work, most recently in Kosovo for the Government on integrated water resources management..
