Coronavirus Statement

Devon Wildlife Trust's Coronavirus Statement

At a time when the natural environment needs us more than ever, Devon Wildlife Trust's work for wildlife continues. However, the current Coronavirus means we are having to make some changes to the way we operate.

This will mean postponing or cancelling some events, temporarily closing our visitor centres and rearranging meetings.

Access to Devon Wildlife Trust managed nature reserves/sites

Devon Wildlife Trust is still working hard for wildlife and welcomes you to explore our many beautiful nature reserves safely. DWT look after 58 nature reserves, all of which will remain open and there is one close to where you live, so please enjoy them responsibly, keep visits local, and respect other visitors and the wildlife. To see the latest Government guidance on continuing to access and enjoy green spaces click here.

There are also changes to our Seaton Jurassic and Wembury Marine visitor centres. Seaton Jurassic is open until Sunday 5th September with timed bookings to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment - please click here for more details. Subject to Government restrictions easing further on June 21st, Wembury Marine Centre will be opening its doors to the public once again on Saturday the 26th of June 2021.

We are a charity and can only care for places around Devon and ensure they are rich in wildlife and available for visitors to enjoy with the support of our members, donors and generous gifts in Wills.  There are many ways you can help us and get involved with our work. Please visit 'support us' to find out more.

We'll endeavour to keep this website up to date with these and other changes. Keep up to date with the latest news by checking in regularly with us here, by joining our email list (it's free!) and following us on social media.

Thank you for continued support. It is vital to our work for Devon's wildlife. Together we are continuing to make a world of difference to the local wildlife we all cherish.
