Beavers need your help
In late March, following detailed health screenings required by our Natural England licence, Devon Wildlife Trust re-released five Eurasian beavers on the River Otter. This marked the beginning of England's first wild beaver monitoring project, researching how the re-introduction of the beaver will affect wildlife, landscapes and communities in a lowland English river valley.
Thanks to generous public support, the River Otter Beaver Project has begun - and now a new generation of wild beavers has been born - please help this exciting work continue with a donation today.
APPEAL UPDATE: £113,451 raised so far! We estimate the research, animal welfare and community engagement work on the beaver project will cost around £100,000 per year
