Devon's nocturnal wonder
This project is enabling people to learn about, celebrate and help to care for these enigmatic bats and the landscape they live in.

Securing a future for greater horseshoe bats
The Devon Greater Horseshoe Bat Project works with local communities to secure a future for greater horseshoe bats in Devon, their northern European stronghold.
It is a partnership project of 18 organisations led by Devon Wildlife Trust and is supported by the National Lottery through the National Lottery Heritage Fund, as well as other funders.

Betty must fill up on bugs so she can feed her pup back at the roost. Click here to play the game.
Greater horseshoe bats use a "mental map" to find their way around the landscape. They remember the location of obstacles, feeding grounds and other landmarks to help them navigate in the dark.
It's your job to reconstruct the landscape in the grid to match Betty's mental map. Click here to play the game.
