Devon Wildlife Trust on behalf of the Devon Ash Dieback Resilience Forum has secured funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Tesco Bags of Help and other funders to lead the Saving Devon’s Treescapes project which aims to tackle these unprecedented threats and provide a healthy and sustainable future for Devon’s Treescapes.

Saving Devon’s Treescapes supports local communities throughout Devon to plant and nurture over 250,000 trees. One key element of the project is to develop Community Tree Nurseries to grow and nurture free trees which can later be planted by communities across Devon.

This Invitation To Tender is for the construction of the first Community Tree Nursey which will be located at the DWT Meeth Quarry Nature Reserve. In addition to the tree nursery, we also need to ensure the site is safe and secure. Therefore, included in the tender is the construction of a safety barrier to prevent falls from height.
