Andrews' Wood work party

Wildflower Seed Collecting at Andrews Wood - Kevin McDonaghWildflower Seed Collecting at Andrews Wood - Kevin McDonagh

Come and help out at this ever expanding nature reserve.

About the role

Throughout the year, at 10am on the second Thursday of every month, we undertake a range of tasks from scrub clearance to coppicing.  Read our task description to find out more.

What skills do you need?

You don’t need to know much about conservation as trained staff and volunteers will be on hand to teach you the skills you need.  You are encouraged to work at your own pace, to take rests when you need them, and therefore you do not need to start with a high level of fitness.

Please wear suitable clothes (appropriate to weather, ones you don’t mind getting damaged) and footwear (stout – steel toe-capped boots are best, or wellies or walking boots).  Bring a drink and lunch if staying the day. You are welcome to come along and just “have a go”.

Location

Near the village of Loddiswell, 8km north of Kingsbridge.   Click here to find out more about Andrews' Wood nature reserve.
