Special projects on nature reserves
Devon Wildlife Trust's nature reserves are home to a wonderful variety of plants and animals, and a huge effort goes in each year to keep them in top condition for both wildlife and people.
We regularly face the challenge of achieving large-scale habitat management works, and we are able to run these 'special projects' thanks to funding we secure from a range of grant-giving organisations.
Here are some examples of the special projects that are currently taking place on our reserves:
- GrantScape special project - enhancing DWT's culm nature reserves
- Viridor Credits special project - creating habitat for rare fritillary butterflies
- Biffaward special project - Andrew's Wood
- Bystock Heath Community Project - helping people engage in our heathland heritage
- SITA Trust special project - restoration of Woodah Farm's hedgerows
