Peter Burgess – Conservation Advocacy Manager

Peter has diverse experience delivering conservation and land management projects in the South West. He was involved in one of the earliest landscape scale projects – the Greater Horseshoe Bat Project in 1999 and with the Reconnecting the Culm project for Butterfly Conservation, which served as good initiation for the challenges that DWT's Working Wetlands initiative faces.

Peter has a farming and practical background, which means that the practical and advisory aspects of the project are well grounded and achievable.

Matt Boydell - Land Management Manager

Matt has an extensive background in direct land management for conservation, having worked for local government on Cannock Chase, and for the National Trust on the Lizard, South East Dartmoor and East Devon.

Initially recruited by DWT as the Nature Reserves Manager in 2006, he took on his current role in 2008.

Graham Kirk – Finance Manager

Graham is the Finance Team manager and is responsible for managing the financial resources entrusted to DWT. His time is spent working with his colleagues on budgeting, producing and interpreting financial information, and maintaining an overview of DWT’s budget and overall financial situation. He joined DWT in 2008 after a spell with the Devon Primary Care Trust, and prior to that was the Management Accountant at Exeter College.

He has lived in Devon all his life, and aims only to travel out of the County once a fortnight when his beloved Grecians play away from St James' Park.

Rachael Pine – Fundraising Manager

After obtaining a BA Hons in Leisure & Tourism Management, Rachael began work within the tourism field at Devon County Council. She then worked for the RSPB, covering membership development and grant fundraising over a seven year period.  During her time there she gained an interest in conservation fundraising and acquired her Certificate in Fundraising Management.

Rachael joined DWT  in May 2008.  In her role as Fundraising Manager she oversees the fundraising section and a very talented fundraising team.
