Devon Biodiversity Records Centre (DBRC)

If you need to find out something about wildlife or geology in Devon, DBRC can help. It holds large databases of information about wildlife on the land and in the sea and operates an enquiries service to help people get to the information they need.

If the DBRC team don't have the information you need, then they can probably tell you who has.

The work that DBRC does involves three types of activity
•    Field work  (going out to look for wildlife)
•    Information management (Putting wildlife observations onto computers)
•    Data analysis and presentation (Providing information to people)

DBRC is hosted by the Devon Wildlife Trust and supported by a large partnership of organisations and individuals.

The DBRC team have a wide range of skills and expertise. Between them, they have more than fifty five years of experience of environmental data work. They have a permanent staff of six people at DBRC and up to ten people working on a voluntary basis or on short term contracts.
